Born in Staffordshire in 1972,
Andrew Carver grew up in and around the contrasting industrial and farming landscapes of the midlands. His life in photography began as an interest and developed into a vocation through higher and further education.
After graduating in Fine Art Photography in 1996, Andrew started as a freelance photographic assistant in London working with some of the leading photographers in their fields.
His unique and contemporary style did not go unnoticed; in 1998 after being asked to participate in the London Contemporary Photography Fair, the BJP wrote,
“Exhibitors will include many of the UK’s brightest up-and-coming contemporary photographers…Leading names include…Andy Carver.”
